Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Victory Home Services, LLC(“Victory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Victory Home Services platform (the “Platform”), accessible at victoryhomeservices.net and related mobile applications. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information about users of our Platform, including homeowners (“Customers”), independent service professionals (“Vendors”), and visitors.
By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account registration: name, email address, password, phone number, city/ZIP code, and profile photo.
- Vendor registration: business name, service category, license number, insurance status, background-check status, and cities served.
- Booking information: service address, scheduling preferences, special instructions, and property details (square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms).
- Communications: messages sent through the Platform, support tickets, and feedback.
2.2 Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or Social Security Numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect and retain payment data pursuant to its own Privacy Policy. Vendors connect bank accounts directly to Stripe via Stripe Connect.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited.
- Device identifiers, cookies, and similar tracking technologies.
- Approximate geolocation derived from IP address.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account and facilitate bookings between Customers and Vendors.
- Process payments and route payouts to Vendors through Stripe Connect.
- Send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, job updates, payout alerts).
- Comply with IRS reporting requirements, including issuing 1099-NEC forms to Vendors who earn $600 or more in a calendar year.
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable law.
- Improve and personalize the Platform through analytics.
- Send marketing communications (you may opt out at any time).
4. Tax Reporting Disclosure
Victory is required by U.S. law (Internal Revenue Code §6041A) to report certain payments made to independent contractors. If you are a Vendor and receive $600 or more in gross earnings through the Platform in a calendar year, Victory will:
- Issue an IRS Form 1099-NEC by January 31 of the following year.
- File the 1099-NEC with the IRS.
- Collect your legal name, address, and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) as required.
Additionally, Stripe may independently issue a Form 1099-K if applicable thresholds are met under IRS regulations. Vendors are responsible for their own tax obligations as independent contractors. Victory does not withhold taxes from Vendor earnings.
5. Background Checks & Consumer Reports
5.1 What We Collect for Background Checks
When you apply as a Vendor, we collect the following personal information for the purpose of conducting a background check through Checkr, Inc.:
- Full legal name, date of birth, and ZIP code (collected by Victory);
- Social Security Number — entered directly on Checkr's secure website and never transmitted to or stored on Victory's servers;
- Background check status (not started / pending / clear / under review / suspended);
- Last 4 digits of SSN for display purposes only;
- Checkr candidate ID and report ID (for audit and adverse action purposes).
5.2 How Background Check Data Is Used
Consumer reports obtained through Checkr are used solely to evaluate Vendor eligibilityon the Platform (“employment purpose” under the FCRA). Reports are:
- Used one time for initial screening — not repurposed for other decisions;
- Held in strict confidence and not shared with Customers, other Vendors, or any third party except as required by law;
- Accessible only to designated Victory staff with a legitimate need to know;
- Securely destroyed or de-identified when no longer required for legal or compliance purposes.
5.3 Checkr as Our Service Provider
Victory uses Checkr, Inc. as its consumer reporting agency. By submitting a background check, your information is shared with Checkr pursuant to their Privacy Policy. Checkr is located at 1 Montgomery Street, Suite 2000, San Francisco, CA 94104. Phone: (844) 824-3257.
5.4 Your Rights Regarding Background Check Data
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to:
- Request a free copy of your consumer report from Checkr within 60 days of an adverse action;
- Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information directly with Checkr;
- Receive a pre-adverse action notice before any negative action is taken against you;
- Seek damages from violators of the FCRA.

6. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Between Customers and Vendors: Name, address, phone number, and job details are shared as necessary to complete a booking.
- Checkr, Inc.: Vendor personal information (name, DOB, ZIP) is shared with Checkr to conduct background checks. SSN is entered directly on Checkr's secure platform and is never transmitted to or stored by Victory.
- Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Checkr (background checks) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Legal Compliance: We disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, including to the IRS for 1099 reporting.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred to the successor entity.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Financial records (including payment and 1099 data) are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with IRS record-keeping requirements. Consumer report data (background check results) is retained only as long as required by law and is securely destroyed when no longer needed. You may request deletion of non-financial data by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (if applicable).
California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Submit California privacy requests to privacy@victoryhomeservices.net.

9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie settings in your browser. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately at privacy@victoryhomeservices.net.
12. Texas Privacy Rights
If you are a Texas resident, you may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). To submit a privacy request, contact us at privacy@victoryhomeservices.net. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
